Anchormensemble Gig - November 2007

The Anchormensemble would like to announce a concert planned for November with a very demanding set of the music played by the late, great “Maynard Ferguson”.
The band have just featured at the Marsden Jazz Festival and wowed the audience with music that included, amongst many others, the Theme from Rocky (Gonna’ Fly Now), Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me and Danny Boy.

This specially prepared tribute was a preview to the full set which will be performed at the Priestley Theatre in Little Germany, Bradford on Saturday the 10th November.
This unique, energetic brass ensemble includes 6 electrifying trumpet players that all do credit to the playing of “The Boss”.
With the resident saxophone player injecting some fantastic, explosive solos and a pianist improvising, this set will not only entertain the jazz lover but also brass players from all walks off life.

If Marsden was anything to go by, then the concert at the Priestley in November is something to look forward to and highly recommended.

Tickets are priced at only £10 each (£8 for concessions) and can be purchased through the Priestley website www.mypriestley.org.uk or www.anchormen.org.uk
