International line-up for DCE Power Regional

With the New Year now well and truly here preparations for the first DCE UK Power
Regional have now begun in earnest. Besides 8 British corps, 3 corps from The
Netherlands and one corps from France have confirmed their participation in the
show.

For the Blue Lions from Wattrelos - France, the Power Regional will be their first
DCE performance after their change from a percussion corps to a drum & bugle corps.
The Dutch corps Jubal from Dordrecht, including their cadet corps, and Juliana from
Middelburg have also registered for the Power Regional.

Bert van Maaren, Chairman of Jubal said "Jubal think that it's important that drum
corps keeps growing in Europe. The fact that DCE have decided to schedule a major
contest in the UK is a logical step. Jubal are pleased to contribute to this, and we
hope to see more mainland corps entering the Power Regional."

Rob Stroet, Corps Director of Juliana added "The British corps have supported the
European activity for quite some years. Now that DCE have organised their first
contest in the UK, we think it's our turn to make the trip over the North Sea. We're
looking forward to a very interesting experience in London."

Show hosts the Pacemakers have already helped two corps find accommodation, and are
currently working hard to find more. They have also provided their expert local
knowledge of the London area which DCE has found invaluable.

The entries to date are listed below, but it is expected that more Dutch and English
corps will confirm there inclusion soon:-

- Black Knights
- Blue Lions
- Concord
- Jong Jubal
- Jubal
- Juliana
- Midsomer Norton Marching Brass
- Northern Star
- The Pacemakers
- Poynton Commodores
- The Senators
- Southern Aurora

Unfortunately it looks unlikely that any German corps will attend as there is a DCG
contest on the same day. The Power Regional will be restricted to a maximum of 22
corps and will accept entries until this number is reached, or until the closing
date of Sunday April 27th.
