Bateria Concorda Samba Band

Concord are delighted to announce that Sheffield University Samba Bateria samba band members have agreed to run an introductory Samba School to introduce them to the new instruments and to begin learning techniques, rhythms and structure of samba music.

The University group will bring along several of their players plus a range of their own equipment to add to our new instruments and enable everyone to have “hands-on” experience during the afternoon

The course will be held at Croft House on Sunday 21st June running from 2.00 to 5.00 pm and is open to all current Concord cast members, staff, alumni and supporters to take part. There is no charge for this school. This is a unique opportunity for us to learn from experienced samba band players who have played in many major events and venues and we hope everyone will be available to participate.

We hope that this may be the beginning of a productive relationship between Sheffield University Samba Bateria and Bateria Concorda.
