Buccaneers win fifth DCA title

For the fifth time in a row the Reading Buccaneers were able to scoop up the Open Class title at the Drum Corps Associates Championships in Rochester New York. For the Buccaneers this was a record score.

The score exceeding 99 points once again ensured that the Buccaneers could walk off with the title. The Minnesota Brass, Hurricanes, Empire Statesmen and the Caballeros were unable to beat the powerhouse from Reading. This was an undefeated season for the Buccaneers.

The Buccaneers scooped up all captions with the exception of the captions Color Guard and Ensemble Brass, which was respectively awarded to the Hurricanes and Minnesota Brass.

The Govenaires became the DCA A-Class champions.
