DCUK Seek Finals Staff

DCUK is recruiting volunteers to work at this year’s finals day.

The event will be held this year at Burton Albion FC on Saturday 30th September. Each year a team of volunteers help stage the event and ensure everything runs smoothly for those taking part. A wide variety of roles are required from ticket sales and corps reception to security and gate checks. DCUK has staged a finals championship since 1980 but it still takes a huge effort to run and manage such a big event.

“It’s a long day but really rewarding” says Chris Jones, a recent recruit to the finals event staff. “This is the highlight of our competitive drum corps calendar and it’s a privilege to be involved. There’s a great team spirit amongst all the staff and anyone who feels they can contribute definitely should; they’ll have a great day!”
