The Company at 'Dancing on Ice'

Press Release by the Company

Twelve percussion members performed in the Grand Opening of 'Dancing on Ice 2011' on ITV 1 last Sunday evening. It was not their first TV appearance. Last year, the percussin players also supported singer star and TV 'Strictly Come Dancing' judge Alesha Dixon at 'This Morning' on ITV and also at the 'Help for Heroes' event featured live on BBC 1.

Director Mark Nicholson thanked both ITV and the 'Dancing on Ice' production team for the performance opportunity in showcasing the drum corps activity but also went on to congratulate the staff and percussion members of The Company percussion for their hard work and dedication to the performance. More than nine million people watched the show.

Creative & Musical Managers Craig Sherratt and Mark Pickles spoke of the pride of the organisation in regard to this performance and of the percussion member's enjoyment of working with the producers and creative team of the show but mainly of the opportunity also to support the legendry former World Ice Dance Champions Torvill & Dean and other skaters in the opening sequence entitled 'Let's Get This Party Started'.
