Following on from their hugely successful 2010 production “The Imaginarium” Concord Youth Music of Sheffield are again preparing a show that will intrigue, excite and fascinate their audiences.

This year moving to The Blue Shed contemporary performance space on Brightside Lane, Sheffield, Concord will present “Volo di Fantasia” on Friday 11th November (7.30 pm) and Saturday 12th November (2.30 pm matinee and 7.30 pm). The Blue Shed is an exciting new facility that will allow this exciting group of young musicians and performers to greatly extend the scope and content of their unique form of entertainment.

Featuring a dozen incredible brass players, accompanied by a large and versatile rhythm section and a team of innovative and interpretative dancers – all professionally lit and with electronic sound effects – the Concord team aims to take their audiences on a journey of adventure – exploring facets of music and movement that will take your views on brass and percussion to a whole new horizon.

This year we are proud to introduce as guest performers the widely-renowned Hype Dance Company, Sugar Kane Dance School, students from Firth Park Community Arts College and featuring, of course, their own junior section Concord AllStars – a cast of almost 100 talented and energetic young performers – a sure-fire recipe for an evening of entertainment to be remembered.

Sometimes fast, sometimes loud, sometimes peaceful, colourful, mysterious, magical and fascinating – this unique blend of music and movement will leave you with a positive and optimistic view of the world seen through younger eyes where anything might happen. This is 90 minutes of sheer magic for all the family.
