Drum Corps United Kingdom are pleased to make their initial announcement regarding contest dates for the 2012 season.

For the past 3 years DCUK have held three shows during the summer plus the British Drum Corps Championships and at the Membership Meeting held in October it was suggested by Corps that another contest in the 2012 calendar would be welcomed.

The DCUK Board looked at the available weekends and have currently scheduled for an extra contest to take place on Sunday 17th June and the therefore the draft dates for 2012 are:

Sunday 17th June - prefer midlands or north venue
Sunday 1st July - prefer south or maybe south midlands venue
Sunday 15th July - prefer north or maybe north midlands venue
Sunday 9th September - prefer midland/south midlands venue

Saturday 22nd September - 33rd DCUK British Drum Corps Championships

Bids are now welcomed from anyone wishing to be considered to run a DCUK contest next season and potential hosts should initially email admin@dcuk.org.uk where you will be contacted back to discuss your bid in further detail.  All bids should be received by 21st November to give the DCUK Board time to discuss before finalising the schedule ready for when registrations open in December.
