Meet The New Mr & Mrs Swindells

The latest in a long line of drum corps weddings took place on Friday 28th July 2006 at Peckforton Castle in the heart of rural Cheshire. 

Robert and Rachel Swindells celebrated their special day with their family and many of their close friends whom they have met throughout their involvement in the drum corps activity.

Rob’s marching days started back in 1981 with Kidsgrove Scouts and his 25 years of service sees him now in the position of Corps Manager. 

Rachel, who performs in Kidsgrove Scouts Colour Guard, started out with 18th Chester Scouts followed by Chester-based Ghost and moved to Kidsgrove via Sunrisers.

Corps Director, and proud Father (and Father in Law!), John Swindells commented "Rob and Rachel are the 15th couple in recent years to marry within membership of the Corps - we must be doing something right"
