Kidsgrove achieve 7th Place in DCA World Championships

Congratulations to the Kidsgrove Scouts on achieving 7th Place at the  Drum Corps Associates (DCA) World Championships in Annapolis, Maryland, USA this past week only missing 6th place by less than two tenths of a point and placing 3rd in the Colour Guard caption.

During their two week trip, and prior to the World Championships, the Corps competed in two contests, the first in Bridgeport, Connecticut and then the following day in Pennsauken, New Jersey, where they came 2nd at both events and they also performed in exhibition at the DCA At The Dock event at downtown Annapolis.

Congratulations also to all their members that took part in the DCA Individual & Ensembles event on the Friday before the Championships and especially to Chris Billington, Richard Gubby and the members of the Brass Ensemble for being Gold Medal winners.

The DCA 2012 World Champions were the Buccaneers from Reading, Pennsylvania, USA scoring an impressive 99.03 winning every caption in the process and the full scores and recaps from the Championships can be found on the DCA website.
