Kidsgrove Scouts achieve DCUK record

On the DCUK Championships weekend (21st September) very few people would have realised that a significant milestone was reached by the Kidsgrove Scouts. 

Kidsgrove Scouts became the first Open class Corps to achieve 10 consecutive medals positions in DCUK Open Class Finals Competition.

2004 – 3rd 
2005 – 2nd 
2006 - 2nd
2007 – 1st
2008 – 2nd 
2009 – 1st 
2010 – 1st 
2011 – 1st 
2012 – 1st 
2013 – 2nd

The previous record was jointly held by three huge iconic DCUK corps from the past 

Dagenham Crusaders – 9 Consecutive Medal positions 1980 – 1988
Blue Eagles – 9 Consecutive Medal positions 1988 – 1996
Senators – 9 Consecutive Medal positions – 1997 – 2005.

The Senators still hold the record for overall Medal placing’s with 16, a fantastic achievement in itself.
