STAFFORD LANCERS LOOK FORWARD TO FINALS

With Finals fast approaching Stafford Lancers spent the full weekend of 23rd & 24th September preparing for their first full OPEN CLASS Finals day and night.

The weekend was a fantastic success with the focus being on intensive cleaning of both the musical and visual book as well as working on adding that little bit of magic to really make what we think is a fantastic story to come alive in their performance.

Corps Director Dave Milton said “Lancers have a tradition of trying to do big production themed shows over the years and “War of the Worlds” has been an immense challenge combined with moving into Open Class for the first time in our 11 year history. This season has been a real rollercoaster for all of us and we found it very hard going early season but it is great testament for all involved for sticking with it. In recent weeks we have started to see all that hard work and patience from the members and staff start to bear fruit and in turn that has slowly seeped into the marching members a belief that we can hold our own and be competitive at this level and who knows pull off a surprise”.

With more rehearsals planned this week everyone at Lancers is immensely looking forward to Finals and will be aiming to put on the performance of their lives!

All at Lancers would like to thank everyone who has given us encouragement throughout the year and would like to wish all Corps in every class the very best for the 2006 DCUK FINALS.
