DCUK
Championships 2006
DCUK would like to publicly
thank everyone that took part in the 2006 British Drum
Corps Championships, be that the Corps, the spectators,
the invited guests, the event staff, the trade
stands/booster stalls etc for making this years event a
fabulous showcase for the activity - in the words of
Drum Corps Europe ""these Finals were a
fantastic end to the season" - click
here for full story.
A
special congratulations to our 4 Champions: Black
Knights (Open Class), Concord (A Class),
Staffordshire Knights (Juniors Class) and 37th
Kingswood Cadets (Cadet Class).
It
has been well documented that this past year as been a
difficult one for DCUK and whilst it is appreciated that
this was just one event, and so no-one can be
complacent, this should be viewed as a catalyst to
ensure that we all work together over the next few
months (and years) to continue this great tradition -
albeit possibly not exactly as we have known it for the
past 26 years but things move on and circumstances
change and so, perhaps, should the Drum Corps activity!
Over
the next couple of days, reports and photos from the
days events will be posted on the website so check back
regularly for updates.
If
you have a story/news item you would like displayed then email it
to either deputy@dcuk.org.uk
or sec@dcuk.org.uk. |
