DrumLine Battle success at DCUK Championships

2017 bought us the third instalment of DrumLine Battle to the DCUK Championships.

During the afternoon of the British Drum Corps Championships event at the Serlect Security Stadium in Widnes we had two heats which firstly pitched Concord AllStars (Sheffield) against Thurrock Marching Brass (Thurrock, Essex) and then The Pacemakers (St Marys Cray, Kent) against Liberty (Northampton).

The Judges (John DeNovi from DCI, Trevor Haworth MPAUK Vice President and Jason Oates DCUK Board Member) had their work cut out to separate these exciting units but after a few tense moments it was announced that Concord AllStars & Liberty were going through to the evening Final.

As last year, the Final took place under the floodlights immediately following the last Corps performance in the British Drum Corps Championships Open Class Finals and the audience really got behind both units with Concord AllStars just taking the edge and were this years winners - their 3rd success in as many years.
