DCUK - Looking forward to 2019
On Saturday 1st December Drum
Corps United Kingdom will be holding its Annual Membership Meeting
and once again this will be open to two representative from each
Corps and is also open to any units that are considering taking part
in what we have to offer in 2019 or just interested in finding out
more. The venue will be confirmed nearer the date but will be
in the Midlands (almost certainly in the Birmingham area).
In 2009 (our 30th Anniversary Championships year) DCUK went through a "rebirth" and now, 10 years later, 2019 will see us celebrate our 40th Anniversary Championships and this gives us an
opportunity have another good look at what we do and, whilst not fundamentally change, we have a number of initiatives being considered (including, but not exclusively, judging, class
structure, expansion of SoundSport) and so look forward to discussing these with the membership in December.
Invitations have been sent to all 2018 Corps and anyone
else interested
in attending should just contact
us and we will be back in touch
The 2019 contest dates will shortly be
announced but we can confirm the 40th British Drum Corps
Championships will be taking place on Saturday 21st September 2019.
