SoundSport - could this be for your group?

Do you have a performing unit that does not want the commitment of a full-blown competitive season but would like to perform in front of an appreciative audience at little or no cost to you? Then SoundSport could be the thing you are looking for.

What is SoundSport? It is a program of @Drum Corps International (DCI), brought to you in the United Kingdom by DCUK, and is designed to provide unique performance opportunities for instrumental music ensembles of all types. The goal is to assist in the creation of – and provide performance opportunities to – local, low cost and entertaining instrumental ensembles which provide a great experience for both the participants and the audience alike!

In 2019 DCUK is offering at all its contests the opportunity for any performing units to come along and take part in SoundSport and get feedback on your performance in a relaxed and enjoyable environment - Barnsley, Woking, Grantham, Telford and the  40th British Drum Corps Championships in Widnes - click here for dates and venue details.

In two weekends time, on Saturday 1st June, the first UK based SoundSport event of 2019 will be taking place as part of the Showcase Marching Bands event in Stoke – why not pop along and enjoy a great days entertainment.
