Following a few expressions of interest about SoundSport over the past couple of months, and specifically indoor SoundSport events during the winter, the Board of DCUK held a Zoom meeting which was attended by 12 different performing/marching units where an open discussion took place around how SoundSport can give performance opportunities, not only at DCUK shows, but also in conjunction with Winter Guard United Kingdom contests.

The feedback from the attendees was extremely positive and so further discussions will now take place and a plan formulated for SoundSport events to be held in 2025 - and beyond - and maybe, if enough interest, the possibility of something this summer as part of existing DCUK events.

In addition - interest was shown in the, already well established at DCUK Championships, DrumLine Battle events and how these can give percussion sections a new lease of life and provide the exciting spectacle for both performers and audience a like.
