Phoenix crowned Irish Champions

Following an exciting season in the Republic of Ireland, Phoenix Rising from Dublin were crowned All Ireland Champions at the IMBA Championships held in Arklow, Co. Wicklow on 21st September. This was a fine end to a productive season for the Rising who also lifted the league One crown for the first time in 5 years. Phoenix’s original Irish show, "The Children of Lir” took 4 captions to take the contest on the day with a score of 804. The Clonmel Bluehawks, Co.Tipperary, pushed the Dublin team all the way with their show “The Incredibles” however it was Phoenix who won on the day.

In another closely contested division, the Inbhear Mór Marchers took the division 2 title, followed closely by the Tallaght Festival Band.

Phoenix Rising travelled to the UK in July this year and took part in the DCUK Contest in Warrington.
